Product Details

The Bard 5651-101BX is an OEM thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) designed for use in Bard wall-mount air conditioners and packaged HVAC equipment. This valve regulates refrigerant flow into the evaporator coil by monitoring system conditions and adjusting refrigerant metering accordingly, ensuring optimal cooling performance and efficiency.

Key Features:

  • ODF (flare) connections: 3/8 inch x 1/2 inch x 1/4 inch for precise installation in refrigerant circuits
  • Maintains proper superheat levels for stable system operation
  • Prevents liquid refrigerant slugging to protect the compressor
  • Durable brass construction with corrosion-resistant materials
  • Factory-calibrated for specific capacity and refrigerant type
  • Includes sensing bulb to monitor evaporator outlet temperature

Replacing a faulty expansion valve can correct common HVAC issues including poor cooling capacity, evaporator coil icing, erratic suction pressure, and reduced system efficiency. The 5651-101BX is an exact OEM replacement part ensuring proper fit and performance. Verify compatibility with your specific Bard equipment model and serial number before ordering, as expansion valves are system-specific by tonnage and refrigerant circuit design.

Seems easy so far

I am happy with products and delivery, only complaint I have is restricted payment methods and only delivery to billing address.

Just wondering what the goop is called that goes on the connection for the ignition control unit? There is a flat plate that sits against another flat plate and there seems to be some connection goop on it. That goop failed in my old unit by becoming crusty and didn't allow the connection.
