Standard Motor Products CP985 Canister Purge Solenoid Valve

The Standard Motor Products CP985 is an evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve designed to control the flow of fuel vapor from the EVAP canister to the engine intake manifold. This critical emissions control component opens and closes based on signals from the engine control module, allowing stored fuel vapors to be burned during normal engine operation rather than released into the atmosphere.

Key Features:

• Direct-fit replacement for OE canister purge valve
• Precision-engineered solenoid for reliable vapor flow control
• Helps maintain proper EVAP system function and prevents check engine lights
• Meets or exceeds OE specifications for fit and performance
• Manufactured by Standard Motor Products, a trusted name in emission control components

This purge valve is essential for maintaining your vehicle's emissions system integrity and fuel efficiency. A faulty purge solenoid can trigger diagnostic trouble codes and cause rough idle, poor fuel economy, or failed emissions testing.
