Schneider Electric MP-5233 Hydraulic Damper Actuator 24V 2-15VDC Proportional Spring Return

The Schneider Electric (Barber Colman) MP-5233 is a proportional hydraulic actuator designed for spring return operation with 24VAC power and 2-15 VDC control signal input. This actuator is engineered for precise modulating control of dampers and valves in HVAC, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning applications.

Key Features:

• Permanently sealed, oil-filled case contains a movable hydraulic piston assembly and electric pump/motor for the hydraulic system
• 24V power supply with 2 to 15 VDC proportional input signal
• Spring return design for fail-safe operation
• Sealed in oil construction requires no maintenance
• Built-in feedback potentiometer for proportional control
• Suitable for damper and valve control applications

Operation:

The electric pump/motor runs continuously, generating fluid pressure transmitted to the top of the piston, creating hydraulic force that drives the piston downward against the opposing spring force of the valve or damper linkage. The actuator responds to DC control signals for precise proportional positioning, making it ideal for variable air volume systems and modulating control applications.

The MP-5233 is part of the proven MP-5200 series platform, offering reliable hydraulic actuation with electronic control for commercial and industrial HVAC systems. Compatible with standard damper linkage accessories including crank arms for various shaft sizes.
