Sporlan Controls 108628 Thermostatic Expansion Valve 3/8" x 1/2" ODF R-404A 2.25-3 Ton

The Sporlan 108628 (SBFSE-C-C) is a balanced port thermostatic expansion valve designed for commercial refrigeration applications using R-404A refrigerant. This externally equalized valve features 3/8" ODF inlet and 1/2" ODF outlet connections with a capacity range of 2-1/4 to 3 tons, making it ideal for medium-temperature refrigeration systems including walk-in coolers, display cases, and food storage units.

Key Features:

• Brass bar stock body construction with ODF sweat connections for durability and easy installation
• Balanced port design provides perfect pin and port alignment and prevents pressure drop across the valve from influencing valve operation
• Adjustable superheat control with long-lasting replaceable power element
• 30-inch capillary tube length with Type C thermostatic charge
• 100 mesh removable strainer for system protection
• Factory tested to ensure positive leak-free performance
• 450 PSI design working pressure rating
• Accessible internal parts for easy maintenance and service

The Type C thermostatic charge is designed for dual temperature applications and may be used on applications down to -30°F on R-404A refrigerant. This Sporlan Type SBF thermostatic expansion valve regulates refrigerant flow by maintaining a nearly constant superheat at the evaporator outlet. Manufactured by the Sporlan Division of Parker Hannifin, this valve represents over 80 years of industry-leading expertise in refrigeration controls.
