Rheem-Ruud 42-24194-82 SPST Pressure Switch .30" WC 1/4" Barbed Connection

The Rheem-Ruud 42-24194-82 is a single-pole single-throw (SPST) pressure switch designed for use in gas furnaces and HVAC systems. This pressure-sensing safety switch monitors the pressure differential in the furnace's venting system to ensure proper draft and safe operation.

Key Features:

• SPST (Single-Pole Single-Throw) configuration for simple on/off switching
• 0.30" water column (WC) activation setpoint for precise pressure monitoring
• 1/4" barbed hose connections for secure tubing attachment
• Direct OEM replacement part for Rheem and Ruud heating systems
• Ensures proper venting and prevents furnace operation with inadequate draft

This pressure switch is a critical safety component that prevents furnace operation when the venting system is blocked or restricted. When the pressure differential reaches the specified setpoint, the switch closes to allow the furnace to continue its heating cycle. If proper pressure is not achieved, the switch remains open and prevents ignition, protecting against dangerous exhaust gas spillage.
