Lochinvar 100208181 280°F Manual Reset Rollout Switch

The Lochinvar 100208181 is a 280°F manual reset rollout switch designed as a critical safety component for Lochinvar boilers and water heaters. This high-limit temperature switch monitors flue gas temperatures and automatically shuts down the unit if excessive heat is detected, preventing potential damage or hazardous conditions.

Key Features:

• 280°F temperature rating for precise high-limit protection
• Manual reset design requires physical intervention after tripping, ensuring proper diagnosis before restart
• Direct OEM replacement part ensuring perfect fit and compatibility
• Monitors rollout conditions where hot combustion gases escape the heat exchanger
• Critical safety device that helps prevent overheating and potential fire hazards

This rollout switch is an essential safety control that detects abnormal venting conditions. When flue gases reach 280°F at the switch location, it opens the circuit and shuts down the burner. The manual reset feature ensures that a qualified technician investigates the cause of the rollout condition before the system can be restarted, making it superior to auto-reset designs for safety-critical applications.
