Auxiliary limit switches like the B1370100 serve as a secondary layer of protection in gas furnace systems. A limit switch is a safety device designed to shut down equipment when temperature exceeds the rated setpoint, preventing the temperature from exceeding the switch's rating. This switch is compatible with select Goodman, Amana, and Janitrol furnace model series and is the correct OEM replacement for systems originally equipped with this part.
