Product Details

The Amana-Goodman 20162908 is an L170-40F limit switch designed for residential and light commercial HVAC applications. This critical safety component monitors temperature within the furnace heat exchanger and automatically controls the blower fan operation to prevent overheating.

Key Features:

  • L170-40F switch rating for reliable temperature control
  • Direct OEM replacement for Amana and Goodman furnace systems
  • Automatic reset functionality for continuous operation
  • Opens at 170°F to protect against excessive heat buildup
  • Closes at approximately 130°F to restart normal operation
  • Durable construction for long service life in demanding environments

This limit switch is an essential safety device that protects your furnace from damage caused by overheating. When the heat exchanger reaches the upper temperature limit, the switch opens to shut down the burner and prevent potential system failure. The switch automatically resets once temperatures return to safe operating levels, ensuring continuous comfort and protection.

Good Products, Great Price, Excellent Service

Ship just when they said they would and received it two days later!

Had not used autoplicity before this order and was skeptical. However, excellent customer service, quick delivery, everything as advertised and nothing broken because it was packaged well. Actually impressed, plus the price was better than anyone else out there.

Fast shipping and part availability. Part price did increase 25 percent over three weeks.
