Product Details

The Carrier EK41JK168 Fusible Plug is a critical safety component designed to protect HVAC and refrigeration systems from catastrophic overpressure failures. This temperature-sensitive device contains a precision-engineered metal alloy that melts at a predetermined temperature, automatically releasing excess pressure before it reaches dangerous levels.

Key Features:

  • Temperature-sensitive fusible alloy melts at specific threshold to prevent overpressure damage
  • Corrosion-resistant construction withstands harsh industrial and HVAC environments
  • Threaded design ensures quick, secure installation and proper seal
  • Precision-engineered for reliable performance in high-pressure applications
  • Genuine OEM Carrier replacement part for optimal system compatibility

Applications:

  • Gas furnaces and boilers
  • Refrigeration compressor systems
  • HVAC pressure vessels and industrial pipelines
  • Commercial and residential heating/cooling equipment

This fusible plug serves as an essential fail-safe mechanism, protecting both equipment and personnel by preventing explosions and system damage due to excessive pressure buildup. Ideal for replacement and maintenance in Carrier HVAC systems requiring overpressure protection.
