How It Works:

The unloader valve assembly uses a solenoid-controlled mechanism to modulate compressor capacity. When the 120V solenoid coil is de-energized, the unloader piston vents to suction pressure, allowing the compressor to draw gas from all cylinders and achieve full cooling capacity. When the coil is energized, discharge gas pressure forces the control piston down, blocking the suction gas passage to specific cylinders and enabling reduced capacity operation.
