Rheem-Ruud 42-22692-06 Door Switch for HVAC Furnace Systems

The Rheem-Ruud 42-22692-06 is an OEM door switch designed for use in Rheem and Ruud residential and commercial HVAC equipment. This safety switch is installed on the blower compartment door or access panel and serves as a critical safety interlock component that prevents the unit from operating when the door is open or improperly secured.

Key Features:

• Genuine OEM Rheem-Ruud replacement part ensuring proper fit and function
• Safety interlock switch prevents blower operation when access door is removed
• Easy snap-in or screw-mount installation on blower compartment doors
• Durable construction for reliable long-term operation
• Direct replacement for worn or failed door switches

This door switch is commonly found on Rheem and Ruud gas furnaces, air handlers, and package units. When the access door is properly closed, the switch completes the circuit allowing normal operation. When the door is opened for service or maintenance, the switch breaks the circuit to shut down the blower motor, protecting service technicians and preventing operation with compromised airflow paths.
