Rheem-Ruud 61-106238-36 Thermal Expansion Valve TXV R-22 4-Ton 3/8" Inlet/Outlet 30" Capillary

The Rheem-Ruud 61-106238-36 is a genuine OEM thermal expansion valve (TXV) engineered for precise refrigerant flow control in residential and light commercial HVAC systems. This 4-ton capacity valve is specifically designed for R-22 refrigerant applications and features 3/8-inch sweat inlet and outlet connections for reliable brazed installations.

Key Features:

• 4-ton cooling capacity rating for mid-sized residential and commercial applications
• 3/8" x 3/8" sweat (brazed) inlet and outlet connections
• 30-inch capillary tube length for flexible sensing bulb placement
• Designed for R-22 refrigerant systems
• Genuine Rheem-Ruud OEM replacement part ensures proper fit and warranty compliance
• Brass body construction for durability and corrosion resistance
• Stainless steel sensing bulb and capillary tube assembly

The TXV automatically regulates refrigerant flow into the evaporator by sensing superheat at the evaporator outlet. As cooling load increases, the sensing bulb detects temperature rise and signals the valve to increase refrigerant flow, maintaining optimal system efficiency. This prevents liquid refrigerant from entering the compressor while maximizing evaporator performance. The 30-inch capillary provides installation flexibility for proper bulb positioning on the suction line.

Important: Professional installation by a licensed HVAC technician is required for proper system operation and warranty coverage. This component is critical for system efficiency and should only be serviced by qualified professionals familiar with refrigeration systems and brazing techniques.
