Johnson Controls VG7842ET+72CHGC 1/2" Proportional Valve Assembly 24V Spring Return

The Johnson Controls VG7842ET+72CHGC is a 1/2-inch proportional control valve assembly designed for precise modulating control in HVAC applications. This valve combines the VG7842ET valve body with the 72CHGC electronic actuator for accurate flow regulation in hot water, chilled water, and steam systems.

Key Specifications:

• Port size: 1/2 inch NPT female connections
• Flow coefficient (Cv): 1.8 for precise flow control
• Actuator voltage: 24V AC/DC
• Action: Spring return, normally up (fails closed on power loss)
• Control type: Proportional modulating control with auxiliary switch
• Body material: Bronze construction for durability and corrosion resistance
• Close-off pressure: Suitable for commercial HVAC applications

Features:

• Proportional control for accurate temperature and flow management
• Spring return actuator provides fail-safe positioning during power interruption
• Auxiliary switch provides status feedback for system monitoring
• Compact design suitable for tight mechanical spaces
• Compatible with Johnson Controls building automation systems
• Factory assembled and tested for reliable operation

This valve assembly is ideal for zone control, reheat coils, unit ventilators, and other applications requiring precise modulating control with fail-safe operation. The spring return actuator ensures the valve returns to the closed position during power failure, providing system protection.
