Asco SC8221G3 1/2" Normally Closed Slow-Closing Solenoid Valve 5-150 PSI DIN Connector

The ASCO 8221 Series is a slow-closing, anti-water hammer solenoid valve designed to effectively reduce damage caused by water hammer in water distribution systems. This pilot-operated solenoid valve features normally closed construction with a brass body and 1/2" NPT connection.

Key Features:

• Two-way pilot-operated slow-closing design
• 1/2" NPT threaded connection size
• Normally closed (N/C) operation
• Operating pressure range: 5-150 PSI differential
• DIN electrical connector for easy coil replacement
• Brass body construction for general service water applications
• Suitable for water service to 180°F or hot water applications to 210°F

Water service valves require a minimum 5 PSI operating pressure differential to open, providing reliable control in pressurized water systems. The slow-closing action prevents pressure spikes and extends system component life by eliminating water hammer effects. The DIN connector design allows for quick and convenient coil servicing without removing the valve body from the pipeline.
