Belimo FSAFB24-SR Fire and Smoke Damper Actuator 180 in-lb Spring Return 24V Modulating

The Belimo FSAFB24-SR is a high-performance fire and smoke damper actuator designed for critical life safety applications in HVAC systems. This fail-safe spring return actuator delivers 180 in-lb (20 Nm) of torque and provides precise modulating control with 2-10 VDC feedback signal for accurate damper positioning.

Key Features:

• 180 in-lb torque output for reliable operation of fire and smoke dampers
• Spring return fail-safe design automatically closes damper upon power failure
• Dual voltage operation: 24 VAC or 24 VDC power supply
• 95° rotation angle with graduated visual position indicator
• Modulating control with 2-10 VDC proportional feedback signal
• Universal shaft clamp accommodates 1/2" to 1.05" round shafts
• Manual override with supplied 5mm hex crank for manual positioning
• Brushless DC motor with Digital Rotation Sensing (DRS) for overload protection
• Running time less than 75 seconds for full stroke
• Maintenance-free operation with 20,000 cycle life expectancy per UL555S

Technical Specifications:

• Power consumption: 6W running, 3W holding
• Operating temperature: 32°F to 122°F (0°C to 50°C)
• Humidity tolerance: 5 to 95% RH non-condensing
• Enclosure rating: NEMA 1 (IP40)
• Housing: Zinc-coated metal and plastic casing
• Electrical connection: Two 18 AWG cables with 1/2" conduit connectors, 3 ft length
• ISO 9001 certified quality standard

The actuator mounts in its fail-safe position with damper blades typically closed. Upon applying power, it drives the damper open while tensioning the internal spring. If power is interrupted, the spring automatically returns the damper to the closed position for life safety compliance. The FSAFB24-SR includes CW/CCW mounting capability and ships pre-positioned at +5° to provide automatic compression against damper gaskets for tight shut-off.
