Lochinvar 100112696 High Ambient Limit Switch

The Lochinvar 100112696 High Ambient Limit Switch is a critical safety component designed for high-efficiency commercial boilers and water heaters. This thermal limit switch monitors exhaust manifold temperatures and cabinet ambient heat levels, preventing equipment damage by interrupting the burner circuit when temperatures exceed safe operational parameters.

Key Features:

• Normally closed (NC) thermal limit switch for continuous protection
• Monitors cabinet ambient heat and exhaust manifold temperatures
• Automatically interrupts burner circuit to prevent thermal runaway
• OEM direct replacement for Lochinvar part number LIM2401
• Compatible with Lochinvar Knight (KB, KH) and Armor (AW) series units
• Also compatible with A.O. Smith commercial water heating systems
• Built to withstand high-cycle demands of commercial HVAC applications

This high ambient limit switch is designed as a manual reset safety device, requiring system inspection before returning the unit to service. Common causes of tripping include insufficient ventilation, blocked flues, or internal cabinet heat buildup from compromised combustion seals. Proper electrical continuity testing is recommended during diagnostics to confirm switch failure before replacement. Installing this genuine OEM part ensures system integrity, prevents nuisance fault codes, and restores proper operation to modulating condensing boilers and commercial water heaters.
