Lochinvar 100173748 Low Water Cut-Off Auto Reset Control (WTR30001)

The Lochinvar 100173748 is a genuine OEM Low Water Cut-Off (LWCO) with Automatic Reset, also sold under part number WTR30001. This safety control device is designed to protect Lochinvar boilers and water heaters by monitoring system water levels and automatically shutting down the burner when water drops below a safe operating threshold — then automatically restoring operation once adequate water levels are detected.

Key Features:

• Automatic Reset: Restores boiler operation automatically once adequate water level is re-established — no manual intervention required
• Genuine OEM Part: Manufactured by Lochinvar (also cross-referenced as an A.O. Smith component) for direct factory-spec replacement
• Boiler Protection: Shuts off the burner during low water conditions to prevent heat exchanger damage and dry-fire failures
• Cross-Reference Part Numbers: WTR30001 (Lochinvar part number), 100173748 (MPN)
• Compatible Counterpart: The manual reset version of this control is Lochinvar 100173747 / WTR30000 for applications where manual reset is required by local code
• Optional Accessories: Low Water Cut-Off Probe (100208662) and Low Water Cut-Off Boot (100277801) available separately

This auto-reset LWCO is an optional upgrade component listed in Lochinvar's parts documentation for Power-Fin and other boiler series. It is a direct OEM replacement suitable for residential applications where automatic reset low water cutoffs are permitted by local code. Always verify local code requirements — some commercial jurisdictions mandate manual reset LWCO devices.
