International Comfort Products BFK083S Bi-Directional Heat Pump Filter Drier

The International Comfort Products BFK083S is a bi-directional liquid line filter drier designed specifically for heat pump applications, featuring 3/8" ODF connections and 8 cubic inch capacity. This solid core filter drier works with CFC, HCFC, and HFC refrigerants, making it compatible with modern and legacy HVAC systems.

Key Features:

• Internal check valves allow flow and filtration in either direction, eliminating the need for external check valves
• Desiccant blend of 75% molecular sieve and 25% activated alumina for optimal moisture and acid removal
• 40 micron filtration removes contaminants from refrigerant
• UL listed for 680 psig maximum working pressure, suitable for use with R410A refrigerant
• Corrosion resistant epoxy powder paint finish
• Approved for use with POE oils in Copeland compressors

The unit measures 5.44 inches in overall length and is rated for 5.1 ton flow capacity. This filter drier filters refrigerant that travels through the sealed system of the air conditioner or heat pump. The bi-directional design makes it ideal for heat pump systems where refrigerant flow reverses between heating and cooling modes.
