International Comfort Products 3002280 Oil Burner Photocell Flame Sensor

The International Comfort Products 3002280 is a replacement photocell designed for oil-fired heating systems. This critical safety component serves as a flame detection sensor that monitors the combustion chamber to ensure proper burner operation.

Key Features:

• Flame detection sensor for oil burner safety systems
• Monitors combustion chamber for stable flame signal
• Provides feedback signal to control PCB for system safety
• Prevents burner operation without proper flame detection
• Cadmium sulfide photocell technology

How It Works:

During startup, the photocell verifies there is no stray light or flame in the chamber before allowing ignition. Once the flame is established, it continuously monitors flame presence and sends a signal to the control board. If the flame signal is lost, the system will initiate a burner lockout to prevent unsafe operation or fuel accumulation.

This photocell is a genuine OEM replacement part suitable for International Comfort Products oil-fired furnaces and boilers. Regular replacement of the photocell helps maintain reliable burner operation and prevents nuisance shutdowns caused by dirty or degraded sensors.
