Carrier 06DA660180 Suction Cutoff Unloading Package for 06D Semi-Hermetic Compressors

The Carrier / Carlyle 06DA660180 is a factory-authorized Suction Cutoff Unloading Package (also known as an ESCO Kit) designed for use with Carlyle 06D series semi-hermetic reciprocating compressors. This capacity control package enables efficient cylinder unloading to reduce compressor capacity when full load is not required.

How Suction Cutoff Unloading Works:

Suction cutoff unloading is an efficient method of capacity control that physically blocks the suction of a cylinder bank, reducing the active displacement of the compressor. This approach delivers cooler operating temperatures compared to hot gas bypass designs, improving overall system efficiency and longevity.

Key Features:

• Factory-authorized Carrier / Carlyle OEM replacement and upgrade package
• Compatible with 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder Carlyle 06D semi-hermetic compressors
• Can be used to convert an existing hot gas bypass unloading system to suction cutoff unloading
• Can be used to add unloading capability or a second bank of unloading to an 06D compressor
• Package includes cylinder head assembly with integrated capacity control valve, valve plate gasket, cylinder head gasket, and cylinder head bolts
• Capacity control valve is actuated by an electric solenoid (solenoid coil not included)
• Designed for air conditioning duty applications

Also sold under the Carlyle brand, the 06DA660180 is a well-established service and upgrade kit for commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems utilizing the Carlyle 06D compressor platform. OEM Part Number: 06DA660180.
