Trane HTR15184 Crankcase Heater Belt-Type 575V 70/75W 6"-7" Dia

The Trane HTR15184 is an OEM belt-type crankcase heater rated at 70/75 watts and designed for 575-volt commercial HVAC systems. It wraps around the compressor shell to maintain oil temperature above the refrigerant saturation point, preventing refrigerant migration into the crankcase oil during off-cycle periods.

This heater is engineered to fit compressors with a 6-inch to 7-inch diameter shell, providing uniform thermal transfer that guards against oil dilution and hazardous flooded starts. It is a direct OEM replacement for Trane commercial rooftop units and other 575V systems common in heavy-duty industrial and Canadian commercial applications.

Key Features:

• Voltage: 575V — rated for industrial and heavy commercial power supplies
• Wattage: 70/75W — delivers consistent heat output to protect compressor oil
• Fit Range: 6" to 7" compressor shell diameter
• 47-inch lead wires for flexible routing to control box or contactor
• Belt-type design ensures uniform contact and thermal transfer around the compressor shell
• Protects against liquid slugging, oil foaming, and bearing wear from flooded starts
• Direct OEM Trane replacement part — ensures correct fit and performance

The HTR15184 is an essential component for preventative maintenance programs on commercial HVAC systems operating in cold climates. Replacing worn or failed crankcase heaters during scheduled service intervals is standard practice for maximizing compressor longevity and system reliability.
