Lochinvar 100110784 48-Inch Flexible Magnesium Anode Rod 3/4-Inch NPT Hex Plug

The Lochinvar 100110784 is a 48-inch flexible magnesium anode rod with a 3/4-inch NPT hex plug connection, designed as a genuine OEM replacement part for Lochinvar and A.O. Smith storage tank water heaters. This rod serves as a sacrificial corrosion barrier, corroding in place of the water heater's steel tank lining to significantly extend the service life of the unit.

Key Features:

• Flexible segmented design — hinged construction allows installation in tight spaces with limited overhead clearance where a rigid one-piece rod would not fit
• Magnesium material — produces a stronger electrochemical current than aluminum rods, delivering more effective corrosion protection for the tank interior
• 3/4-inch NPT hex plug — standard thread connection for easy installation and secure sealing
• 48-inch length — sized for larger capacity storage tank water heaters
• Can be trimmed to length — rod may be cut shorter with a hacksaw if the application requires a reduced length
• Supersedes part number 021088-000 — direct updated replacement for the legacy part number

Regular anode rod replacement is one of the most cost-effective ways to maximize water heater service life. Inspection every two years is recommended, with replacement when the rod is significantly depleted. This is a genuine Lochinvar/A.O. Smith OEM part, supplied in original factory packaging.
