Product Details

The COMP Cams K01-602-8 Big Mutha' Thumpr K-Kit delivers an aggressive camshaft package designed specifically for Chevrolet Big Block Gen VI engines. This complete hydraulic roller cam kit features a 243/257 duration profile that produces a distinctive lope at idle and strong mid-range to top-end power.

Complete K-Kit Includes:

  • Big Mutha' Thumpr hydraulic roller camshaft (243/257 duration)
  • Hydraulic roller lifters engineered for high performance
  • High-performance valve springs with precise load ratings
  • Steel retainers for reliable valve train control
  • Valve locks (keepers) for secure valve stem retention
  • Valve stem seals to prevent oil consumption
  • Timing chain set with precision gears
  • Assembly lube for proper break-in procedure
  • Installation instructions and COMP Cams decals

The Big Mutha' Thumpr series is known for its aggressive sound and power delivery characteristics, making it ideal for street performance applications where maximum impact and power are desired. This hydraulic roller design offers excellent durability and low maintenance compared to flat tappet camshafts, while the complete kit format ensures all necessary components are matched and ready for installation.

Application: Chevrolet Big Block Gen VI engines. Recommended for street performance builds with supporting modifications including increased compression, performance cylinder heads, and a quality exhaust system.
