Cometic C5403-030 MLS Head Gasket Small Block Chevy Bore Thick - 4.200 030

The Cometic C5403-030 is a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for Chevrolet Generation 1 Small Block V8 engines. This precision-manufactured gasket features a 4.200-inch bore diameter and .030-inch compressed thickness, making it ideal for performance builds and engines requiring a custom compression ratio.

Key Features:

• Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction provides superior sealing and durability under high-performance conditions
• 4.200-inch bore diameter accommodates various small block Chevy configurations
• .030-inch compressed thickness for precise compression ratio tuning
• Designed for aftermarket cylinder heads with undersized water ports
• Undersized water ports allow for custom port matching and optimization
• Eliminates the need for additional sealants when properly installed
• Withstands extreme temperatures and cylinder pressures

Cometic's MLS gaskets feature multiple layers of stainless steel with an elastomeric coating that ensures maximum sealing performance. The undersized water port design gives engine builders the flexibility to custom-match coolant passages to their specific cylinder head and block combination, optimizing cooling efficiency while maintaining proper sealing.

This gasket is compatible with Chevrolet Small Block V8 engines including 262, 265, 267, 283, 302, 305, 307, 327, 350, and 400 cubic inch displacements when used with appropriate aftermarket cylinder heads.
