Carrillo BF9860-020 High-Performance Connecting Rod

The Carrillo BF9860-020 is a precision-engineered, high-performance connecting rod manufactured by CP-Carrillo, one of the most trusted names in performance engine components since 1963. Built for demanding racing and high-horsepower applications, this connecting rod is machined from CP-Carrillo's proprietary Carrilloy steel — a chrome, nickel, moly, vanadium alloy that meets all VAR (vacuum arc re-melt) ASTM standards — delivering exceptional strength, fatigue resistance, and durability.

Key Features:

• Manufactured from proprietary Carrilloy 4330M chromoly alloy steel for superior tensile strength
• Fully machined from oversized forgings to ensure proper grain flow and removal of surface inclusions
• 100% magnaflux inspected (minimum twice per rod) to identify and eliminate surface flaws
• Rockwell hardness tested to validate heat treatment on every individual rod
• Shot-peened finish to relieve tensile stresses and maximize fatigue life
• CNC-machined to precise tolerances with dimensional integrity verified via probing
• Laser-marked with job number for full production traceability
• Designed and manufactured in the USA at CP-Carrillo's facility in Irvine, California

CP-Carrillo connecting rods are the benchmark for performance engine builders across automotive, motorsport, and powersports disciplines. The Carrillo BF9860-020 delivers the exacting quality control, precision fitment, and proven durability that racing and high-performance street engine builders demand.
