Product Details

The Cometic C4262-030 is a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for the Subaru EJ22E engine platform. This precision gasket features a 98mm bore diameter and a .030" (0.76mm) compressed thickness, making it ideal for both stock rebuilds and performance applications.

Key Features:

  • Multi-Layer Steel construction provides superior sealing and durability under extreme conditions
  • 98mm bore diameter designed for Subaru EJ22E applications
  • .030" compressed gasket thickness for precise compression ratio control
  • Embossed stainless steel outer layers with a viton rubber coating for maximum sealing
  • Designed to withstand high cylinder pressures and temperatures
  • Ideal for turbocharged, supercharged, and high-compression naturally aspirated builds

Cometic MLS gaskets are the industry standard for performance engine building, offering exceptional reliability and reusability. The multi-layer design allows the gasket to adapt to minor surface imperfections while maintaining consistent clamping pressure across the entire sealing surface. This gasket requires proper surface preparation with an RA finish of 50-60 for optimal performance.
