Product Details

The Cometic C5470 is a premium multi-layer steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for Chevrolet Generation 1 Small Block V8 engines. This high-performance gasket features a .040" compressed thickness and accommodates a 4.040" bore diameter, making it ideal for performance rebuilds and engine upgrades.

Key Features:

 • Multi-layer steel (MLS) construction for superior sealing and durability
 • Compressed thickness of .040" provides optimal compression ratio tuning
 • 4.040" bore diameter fits standard and slightly overbored small block Chevy applications
 • Compatible with 18-degree and 23-degree cylinder head designs
 • Engineered for high-performance and racing applications
 • Resists gasket failure from extreme cylinder pressures and temperatures

Cometic MLS gaskets utilize multiple layers of stainless steel with elastomeric coatings to create a superior seal that responds to engine movement and thermal expansion. This design makes them particularly well-suited for high-compression engines, forced induction applications, and racing environments where conventional composite gaskets may fail.

I was pleasantly surprised to received my order the following day. With ground shipping I was hoping to get it in 4 days to 6 days but this is amazing. You guys are great, thank you.

Great prices, filled and shipped immediately. Best deal around!

They have the best unbelievable prices and availability on all kinds of automotive products on the market and like I said the prices are great i will buy from here in the future

I pieced a roof rack setup from all over the internet, and Autoplicity consistently beat every other vendor on price and shipping, even most auctions on eBay!
I found the site confusing when searching for items directly (why was the "Roof Racks & Cargo Carriers" dropdown empty, when Google showed their ads for tons of these products?). Since they always came up at the top of a Google Shopping search for products, using their website's internal navigation wasn't ever necessary.
Customer service guy was a little snippy, but I could have just been interrupting his lunch.

Very fast shipping! Lowest prices as well! Will do business again
