Product Details

The Cometic C5497-060 is a high-performance Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket designed specifically for Chrysler 420A and ECC engines. This precision-engineered gasket features an 87.5mm bore diameter and .060" compressed thickness, making it ideal for performance builds and engine rebuilds requiring reliable sealing.

Key Features:

  • Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction for superior sealing and durability
  • .060" (1.52mm) compressed gasket thickness
  • 87.5mm bore diameter for precise fitment
  • Engineered specifically for Chrysler 420A and ECC engine platforms
  • Handles high cylinder pressures in turbocharged and high-compression applications
  • Eliminates gasket failure and coolant leaks common with stock gaskets

Cometic MLS gaskets utilize multiple layers of stainless steel with elastomeric coatings to provide exceptional conformability and recovery characteristics. This design ensures consistent clamping pressure across the entire sealing surface, even under extreme thermal cycling and combustion pressures. The .060" thickness allows for custom compression ratio tuning in performance applications.
