Suspensia 611763 Hood Lift Support Gas Strut

The Suspensia 611763 is a direct-replacement hood lift support designed to restore proper hood operation on compatible vehicles. Suspensia, a TrakMotive brand, engineers its lift supports to meet or exceed original equipment specifications, delivering the same reliable performance as the factory part.

Key Features:

• Gas-charged design — uses pressurized nitrogen gas to smoothly assist hood opening and hold it securely in the raised position
• Hardened, nitride-plated steel shaft resists corrosion and wear for long service life
• Rubber O-ring piston seal prevents gas leakage for consistent, controlled lift
• Heavy-gauge steel body with corrosion-resistant finish built to OE standards
• Direct-fit replacement — engineered to restore original hood lift functionality with no special tools required
• Individually tested for performance and reliability

Also known as a hood strut, hood shock, or hood gas strut, this lift support eliminates the need for a manual prop rod, providing hands-free access to the engine compartment. Replace both hood lift supports at the same time to ensure balanced, safe support of the hood.

Signs that replacement is needed include difficulty opening the hood, the hood slowly sinking while open, or the hood failing to stay up without manual support.
