CGW Abrasive 42732 7" Type 29 Zirconia Alumina Flap Disc 40 Grit 5/8-11 Arbor

The CGW Abrasives 42732 is a professional-grade Type 29 flap disc designed for heavy-duty grinding and blending applications on metal surfaces. Featuring 100% zirconia alumina (Z3) abrasive grain, this 7-inch disc delivers aggressive material removal with excellent cut rates and extended service life compared to standard aluminum oxide discs.

Key Specifications:

• 7-inch diameter with Type 29 conical design for optimal grinding angle
• 40 grit Z3 (zirconia alumina) abrasive for aggressive stock removal
• 5/8-11 threaded arbor fits standard angle grinders
• Regular density construction balances performance and durability
• Maximum RPM: 8,500

Applications:

• Weld grinding and blending on carbon steel and stainless steel
• Heavy stock removal and surface preparation
• Deburring and edge chamfering
• Rust and scale removal

The Type 29 conical shape provides a shallow grinding angle (typically 5-15 degrees) that's ideal for aggressive material removal while maintaining operator comfort. The self-sharpening zirconia alumina grain continuously exposes fresh cutting edges as the disc wears, ensuring consistent performance throughout the disc's life. Suitable for use with 7-inch or 9-inch angle grinders equipped with 5/8-11 threaded spindles.
