Wells 4B1652 Fuel Vapor Canister EVAP Charcoal Canister

The Wells 4B1652 Vapor Canister, also called a fuel vapor canister, EVAP canister or charcoal canister, is a replacement part for the evaporative emission control system. It stores the fuel vapors from the fuel system. This keeps them from venting into the atmosphere.

Key Features:

• Stores and contains fuel vapors from the fuel system as part of the evaporative emissions system
• Engineered and tested to match OE parts in fit, form and function
• Comes with OE-style brackets, hardware and electrical connectors when applicable
• Cross-references: Wells VC4536, Airtex 4B1652, BWD CP1671, Duralast VC4536, Echlin 2-70365, Toyota OE 7774047060

The vapor canister is mounted near the fuel tank. When it fails, you may see a check engine light, poor fuel economy or drivability problems. Replacing it restores proper EVAP system operation and helps the vehicle pass emissions testing.
