Wells 4B1206 Evaporative Emission Vapor Canister

The Wells 4B1206 Vapor Canister is a critical component of your vehicle's evaporative emission control (EVAP) system, designed to capture and store fuel vapors that would otherwise escape into the atmosphere. This charcoal-filled canister helps prevent harmful hydrocarbon emissions from being released, ensuring your vehicle meets emissions standards and operates efficiently.

Key Features:

• High-grade activated charcoal construction for maximum vapor absorption capacity
• Engineered to meet or exceed OE specifications for reliable emissions control
• Professional-grade construction built with durable materials for prolonged service life
• Direct-fit replacement designed for easy installation
• Helps prevent check engine light illumination related to EVAP system faults

When fuel evaporates in your vehicle's fuel tank, the vapors are routed to the vapor canister where they are stored until the engine is running. During operation, the purge valve opens and the stored vapors are drawn into the engine and burned during the combustion process, improving fuel efficiency while reducing harmful emissions. A failing vapor canister can result in failed emissions tests, check engine light codes, and fuel odors.
