Wells 4B1139 Evaporative Emissions Vapor Canister

The Wells 4B1139 Vapor Canister is a critical component of your vehicle's evaporative emissions control (EVAP) system, designed to capture and store harmful fuel vapors that would otherwise be released into the atmosphere. This charcoal canister contains activated charcoal with microscopic pores that effectively adsorb fuel vapors from the fuel tank and fuel system, preventing environmental damage and ensuring compliance with emissions regulations.

Key Features:

• Direct replacement for original equipment vapor canister on specific vehicle applications
• Contains high-quality activated charcoal for maximum vapor absorption capacity
• Engineered to match OE specifications for proper fit and function
• Helps eliminate check engine light codes related to EVAP system failures
• Essential for passing emissions inspections and maintaining proper emissions controls
• Restores vehicle performance by properly managing fuel system vapors

When the purge valve opens during engine operation, fresh air is drawn through the canister, mixing with the stored fuel vapors and routing them into the engine where they're burned as part of the normal combustion process. A failing vapor canister can lead to fuel odors, check engine lights, and failed emissions tests, making timely replacement essential for maintaining your vehicle's environmental compliance and performance.
