Wells 2M1303 Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid Valve

The Wells 2M1303 is a direct-fit vapor canister purge solenoid valve (also referred to as an EVAP purge solenoid or purge control valve) designed to restore proper function to your vehicle's evaporative emission control (EVAP) system. This solenoid regulates the flow of fuel vapors from the charcoal canister to the intake manifold, where they are burned during normal engine operation — reducing harmful hydrocarbon emissions and maintaining optimal fuel efficiency.

When the purge solenoid fails, it can trigger a check engine light (typically OBDII codes P0441, P0443, or P0446), cause rough idle, or result in fuel odor near the vehicle. Replacing it with a quality unit like the Wells 2M1303 restores proper canister purging cycles and clears related diagnostic fault codes.
