Wells 2M1279 Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid EVAP Emission Control Valve

The Wells 2M1279 is a direct-replacement Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid engineered to restore proper function to your vehicle's evaporative emissions (EVAP) system. Also referred to as a canister purge valve (CPV) or purge valve solenoid, this component plays a critical role in emissions control and fuel efficiency.

The vapor canister purge solenoid captures fuel vapors stored in the charcoal vapor canister and routes them into the intake stream to be burned in the combustion chamber, preventing harmful vapors from escaping into the atmosphere. The Engine Control Module (ECM) controls when the valve opens and closes based on current operating conditions.

Key Features:

• Engineered and tested to match OE parts in fit, form, and function
• Compatible with both domestic and imported vehicle applications
• Includes OE-style brackets, hardware, and electrical connectors where applicable
• Helps restore proper fuel economy and reduce exhaust emissions
• Direct replacement for a failed or clogged canister purge valve

A failing vapor canister purge solenoid can trigger a Check Engine light, reduce engine performance, decrease fuel efficiency, increase emissions output, or cause the vehicle to fail an emissions inspection. The Wells 2M1279 is a reliable aftermarket solution designed to meet original equipment standards.
