3M VHB Tape 4991 is a double-sided, conformable acrylic foam tape engineered to deliver an extremely strong permanent bond on a wide range of surfaces. At 90 mil (2.3 mm) thick, this gray tape is built to serve as a seamless, virtually invisible alternative to mechanical fasteners such as rivets, welds, and screws — eliminating the need for drilling or welding operations.

Featuring multi-purpose acrylic adhesive on both sides of a conformable closed-cell foam core, VHB 4991 bonds aggressively to high and medium surface energy substrates including metals, glass, plastics, and painted surfaces. The conformable foam core ensures excellent contact even when bonding surfaces are slightly irregular or mismatched. Each roll measures 1 inch wide x 36 yards long and is backed with a 5 mil red printed polyethylene film liner.
