Universal Air Conditioner AK2447 A/C System Repair Kit

The Universal Air Conditioner AK2447 is a comprehensive A/C system repair kit designed to restore proper air conditioning operation in select GM truck applications. This complete kit provides all the essential components needed for a thorough A/C system service in one convenient package.

Kit Includes:

• Accumulator (receiver-drier) - filters moisture and debris while preventing liquid refrigerant from entering the compressor
• Orifice tube - regulates refrigerant flow and pressure before entering the evaporator
• O-ring and gasket seals - ensures leak-free connections throughout the system

Universal Air Conditioner (UAC) has been manufacturing quality automotive A/C components since 1988, earning a reputation for reliable aftermarket parts that meet OEM specifications. The accumulator serves as a critical safety component in orifice tube systems, preventing compressor damage by separating liquid refrigerant from vapor and removing contaminants with its internal desiccant. The included orifice tube provides fixed refrigerant metering to optimize cooling performance.

This repair kit is ideal for technicians addressing A/C leaks, system contamination, or component failures. When replacing the accumulator or orifice tube, it's recommended to replace both components together along with fresh seals to ensure optimal system performance and longevity.
