Universal Air Conditioner AK2388 A/C Expansion Valve - Kit

The Universal Air Conditioner AK2388 is a replacement A/C expansion valve (also known as a thermal expansion valve or TXV) designed to restore proper refrigerant flow and cooling performance in your vehicle's air conditioning system. UAC is a leading OEM-quality supplier of automotive HVAC components, and the AK2388 is engineered to meet or exceed original equipment specifications.

The expansion valve is a critical component in the A/C refrigeration cycle — it meters the flow of liquid refrigerant into the evaporator, regulating pressure and temperature to ensure efficient, consistent cabin cooling. A failed or restricted expansion valve is a common cause of poor A/C performance, warm air output, or system icing.
