Universal Air Conditioner AK1687 A/C Accumulator

Universal Air Conditioner (UAC) is an industry-leading manufacturer of aftermarket air conditioning parts, with products manufactured and tested to meet or exceed OE specifications. The UAC brand has been trusted by mechanics and vehicle owners worldwide for over 30 years.

The AK1687 A/C accumulator is a critical component in automotive air conditioning systems. Located between the AC compressor and the evaporator on the low-pressure gas line, the accumulator functions as a filter that keeps out harmful debris and dries out moisture which can contaminate your AC system. The accumulator stores refrigerant and filters and dries it using an internal desiccant, preventing harmful liquid refrigerant from passing to the compressor.

Key Features:

• Manufactured to meet or exceed OEM specifications
• Contains desiccant to absorb moisture from refrigerant
• Filters debris to protect A/C system components
• Stores excess refrigerant to prevent compressor damage
• Direct-fit replacement for specific vehicle applications

This accumulator should be replaced anytime you have work done on your air conditioning system that requires opening it up, to avoid contamination that can cause serious damage.
