Mayhew 25056 Brass Pilot Punch 3/16" x 3/4" x 4" Roll Pin Punch

The Mayhew 25056 is a professional-grade brass pilot punch designed specifically for installing and removing roll pins without damage. Measuring 3/16" tip diameter, 3/4" pin length, and 4" overall length, this specialty punch features a unique small ball in the center of the pin tip that supports the outer edge of roll pins during installation or removal, preventing pin collapse and deformation.

Key Features:

• Pilot punch design with centered ball tip specifically engineered for roll pins and spring pins
• Non-marring, non-sparking USA brass construction for use around sensitive surfaces and in hazardous environments
• Smooth polished finish reduces friction and improves punch longevity
• Double knurled grip area provides superior control and prevents slipping during use
• Made in the USA with quality American craftsmanship

Originally invented by Mayhew, this pilot punch (also known as a roll pin punch) is the correct tool for working with roll pins and spring pins. Regular pin punches should never be used on hollow roll pins as they will collapse the pin. The brass construction ensures you won't mar finished surfaces or create sparks in potentially flammable environments, making this an essential tool for automotive, machinery, firearms, and general mechanical work.
