OTC Tools 3306-27 Ford MS-CAN Smart Insert for Genisys Scan Tools

The OTC Tools 3306-27 is a System Smart Insert (SSI) designed for Ford vehicles equipped with Mid-Speed CAN (MS-CAN) protocol systems. This diagnostic accessory expands the capabilities of OTC Genisys scan tools by enabling communication with Ford's proprietary mid-speed CAN bus network.

Key Features:

• MS-CAN (Mid-Speed CAN) support for accessing body and infotainment control units in Ford vehicles
• Compatible with OTC Genisys diagnostic scan tools including Genisys 4000 and related models
• Provides improved test capability and accuracy for vehicle diagnostics
• Enables access to systems beyond standard OBD-II protocols
• Professional-grade diagnostic tool accessory for automotive technicians

This Smart Insert is an essential accessory for shops and technicians working on Ford vehicles that require MS-CAN protocol access. Many Ford models from approximately 2003-2004 and newer are equipped with MS-CAN bus in addition to the regular high-speed CAN bus, with MS-CAN located on non-OBD2 pins. The SSI enables technicians to perform comprehensive diagnostics on modules that communicate via this proprietary Ford network.

Note: Requires an OTC Genisys scan tool (sold separately). This insert works in conjunction with appropriate OBD-II cables to establish communication with the vehicle's diagnostic systems.
