CTA Manufacturing 5047 GM Camshaft Holding Tool for 3.5L & 4.2L Engines

The CTA Manufacturing 5047 is a precision camshaft holding tool designed specifically for GM 3.5L I5 and 4.2L I6 engines. This essential timing tool locks the camshaft at top dead center (T.D.C.) to ensure accurate timing when servicing timing system components including camshafts, gears, chains, and related parts.

Key Features:

• Holds camshaft securely at T.D.C. to maintain proper timing during service
• Slots into position over the camshaft ends to prevent rotation during work
• Designed for GM 4.2L inline-6 and 3.5L inline-5 engines
• Professional-grade alternative to factory tool #T0058
• Prevents costly timing errors during timing chain, gear, or camshaft replacement

This tool is essential for professional technicians and serious DIY mechanics performing timing system maintenance or repair on compatible GM engines. By preventing camshaft rotation during service, it ensures that valve timing remains accurate and eliminates the risk of engine damage from improper timing alignment.
