Beck/Arnley Electronic Ignition Pickup Coil for Distributor Ignition Systems

Beck/Arnley Electronic Ignition Pickup Coils are precision-engineered replacement components designed for distributor-based ignition systems on foreign nameplate vehicles. Each pickup coil serves as the magnetic sensing core of the distributor, generating accurate timing signals that direct the ignition control module or engine computer to fire spark plugs in the correct sequence — a fundamental requirement for smooth, reliable engine operation.

How It Works:

The pickup coil functions as a solid-state magnetic sensor mounted inside the distributor. As the distributor shaft rotates, variations in the reluctor wheel's magnetic field induce precise electrical pulses in the pickup coil. These pulses are interpreted by the ignition control module to determine exact crankshaft position and cylinder firing order — replacing the wear-prone mechanical breaker points of older ignition designs with dependable, maintenance-free electronic sensing technology.

Key Features:

• Direct OE Replacement: Engineered to match original equipment specifications for form, fit, and function on import vehicles — no modifications required
• Solid-State Electronic Sensing: Eliminates the wear, pitting, and timing drift associated with mechanical breaker points
• Precision Magnetic Signal Generation: Delivers accurate, consistent ignition timing pulses for reliable spark plug firing across all engine speeds and operating conditions
• Global Quality Sourcing: Produced through Beck/Arnley's carefully vetted worldwide network of trusted manufacturing partners specializing in foreign nameplate components
• Rigorous Quality Control: Every unit is held to strict Beck/Arnley quality standards before leaving the factory, ensuring dependable performance in the field

Signs Your Pickup Coil May Need Replacement:

• Engine misfires or rough idle
• Hard starting or no-start condition
• Hesitation or stumbling under acceleration
• Unexplained decline in fuel economy
• Complete loss of ignition spark
