Product Details

The Cometic C4857 is a precision-engineered front crankshaft seal designed specifically for Subaru EJ-series turbocharged engines. This critical seal prevents oil leaks at the front of the crankshaft, maintaining proper engine lubrication and preventing oil contamination of the timing belt or drive components.

Key Features:

  • Direct replacement front crankshaft seal for Subaru EJ205, EJ255, and EJ257 engines
  • High-quality construction using premium materials for durability and reliable sealing
  • Precision-manufactured to OEM specifications for proper fit and function
  • Essential component for timing belt service and front engine seal maintenance
  • Prevents oil leaks that can damage timing components and cause engine performance issues

This front crank seal is commonly replaced during timing belt service intervals or when addressing oil leaks at the front of the engine. Cometic's reputation for quality gaskets and sealing solutions makes this an excellent choice for both professional mechanics and DIY enthusiasts working on Subaru WRX, STI, Forester XT, Legacy GT, and other vehicles equipped with the EJ205, EJ255, or EJ257 turbocharged boxer engines.
