Cometic C5538AFM Chevrolet Gen-1 Small Block V8 Water Outlet Gasket

The Cometic C5538AFM is a precision-engineered water outlet gasket designed specifically for Chevrolet Gen-1 Small Block V8 engines. This gasket provides a reliable seal between the water outlet housing and the engine block or intake manifold, preventing coolant leaks at this critical junction.

Key Features:

• Constructed from AFM (Aluminum Fiber Material) for superior heat resistance and durability
• 0.060-inch thickness provides optimal compression and sealing performance
• Engineered to OEM specifications for precise fitment on Gen-1 Small Block V8 engines
• Resists blown-out failures common with traditional paper gaskets
• Compatible with both stock and performance applications

Cometic gaskets are manufactured using advanced materials and precision die-cutting processes to ensure consistent quality and reliable sealing. The AFM construction offers excellent resistance to coolant chemicals and extreme temperature cycling, making this gasket ideal for both street and high-performance engines.
