Product Details

The Cometic C15575-040 is a high-performance MLX cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for Chevrolet Gen-1 Small Block V8 engines. This gasket features a .040" compressed thickness and a 4.165" bore diameter, making it ideal for engines with slightly increased compression requirements.

Key Specifications:

  • Compressed thickness: .040 inches
  • Bore diameter: 4.165 inches
  • Compatible with 18/23 degree cylinder heads
  • Round bore design for optimal sealing
  • MLX construction for superior durability

The MLX (Multi-Layer Stopper) construction combines multiple layers of stainless steel with a stopper layer that provides additional support around the combustion chamber. This design delivers exceptional sealing performance and withstands extreme temperatures and pressures. The gasket's material composition ensures reliable sealing even in high-performance and racing applications where engine loads are significantly increased.

Designed specifically for Gen-1 Chevrolet Small Block V8 engines, this gasket accommodates both conventional and performance builds. The round bore design ensures uniform sealing across the cylinder head surface, preventing leaks and maintaining consistent combustion pressure.
