Cometic C5270-023 MLS Cylinder Head Gasket for Chevrolet Small Block - Gen-1 V8

The Cometic C5270-023 is a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for Chevrolet Generation 1 Small Block V8 engines. This precision-manufactured gasket features a .023" compressed thickness and 4.100" bore diameter to accommodate performance builds and engine rebuilds.

Key Features:

• Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction for superior sealing and durability
• .023" (0.58mm) compressed gasket thickness
• 4.100" bore diameter accommodates standard and slightly overbored cylinders
• Designed for 18-degree and 23-degree cylinder heads
• Valve pocketed bore design provides clearance for larger valves
• Embossed stainless steel layers with Viton rubber sealing beads
• Resistant to extreme temperatures and combustion pressures

Cometic MLS gaskets are constructed from multiple layers of stainless steel, creating a gasket that maintains its sealing integrity under extreme cylinder pressures and temperatures. The valve pocketed design accommodates performance cylinder heads with larger valve diameters, making this gasket ideal for both stock replacement and performance applications on classic Chevrolet small block engines including 262, 265, 267, 283, 302, 305, 307, 327, 350, and 400 cubic inch variants.
