Product Details

The Dorman 905-649 is a direct-replacement automatic transmission shifter cable designed to restore proper shift linkage function in select Ford vehicles. This cable connects the gear selector to the transmission, allowing the driver to accurately engage Park, Reverse, Neutral, and Drive positions.

Key Features:

  • Direct-fit replacement for worn or damaged OE shifter cables
  • Engineered to match original equipment specifications for reliable performance
  • Durable construction designed to withstand repeated shifting cycles
  • Restores proper gear selection and transmission engagement
  • Pre-adjusted cable length eliminates installation guesswork

Over time, shifter cables can stretch, fray, or bind, leading to difficulty shifting gears or inaccurate gear indicator readings. This Dorman replacement cable provides an affordable solution to restore smooth, precise shifting performance. Designed for vehicle-specific fit, this cable ensures proper routing and connection points for hassle-free installation.
