Product Details

The Cometic C4240-070 is a high-performance Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for the Mitsubishi 6G72 24-valve engine. This precision gasket features a 95mm bore diameter and .070-inch compressed thickness, making it ideal for performance builds and applications requiring increased compression control.

Key Features:

  • Multi-Layer Steel construction provides superior sealing and durability under extreme conditions
  • 95mm bore diameter optimized for 6G72 24-valve engines
  • .070-inch (1.78mm) compressed thickness for compression ratio tuning
  • Engineered to withstand high cylinder pressures in turbocharged and high-performance applications
  • Precision-manufactured embossments ensure proper load distribution and sealing
  • Compatible with Mitsubishi 6G72 DOHC 24-valve engines found in 3000GT, Stealth, and other platforms

Cometic MLS head gaskets are the preferred choice for engine builders and performance enthusiasts who demand reliable sealing in high-horsepower applications. The multi-layer design allows for minor surface imperfections while maintaining an excellent seal between the block and cylinder head.
