Eagle Specialty Products SIR5700CM Forged 5140 I-Beam Connecting Rod 5.700" Bushed

The Eagle Specialty Products SIR5700CM is a forged I-beam connecting rod with a 5.700" center-to-center length and a bushed (floating) wrist pin end. It is an economical, stronger alternative to reconditioning stock rods for street, performance and circle-track engine builds.

• Forged SAE 5140 steel construction with a traditional I-beam design

• Bushed pin end for full-floating wrist pins, with a 0.927" pin bore
• 2.100" rod journal diameter and 2.225" big end bore
• Big end width: 0.940"; pin end width: approximately 1.060"
• 3/8" ARP 8740 12-point cap screw rod bolts, torqued to 40 ft-lbs with ARP moly lube on the threads
• Alignment sleeves for precise cap location
• Big end sized on precision CNC equipment
• Shot-peened finish and magnafluxed for quality assurance
• Lightweight design, typically under 540 g per rod
• Advertised rating of up to 500 horsepower and 6,000 RPM

Eagle SIR rods use a forged 5140 steel construction that gives a significant strength increase over stock rods. They are a good choice for builders who want dependable, affordable rotating-assembly strength. Eagle's recommended bearings are Clevite CB663, King CR807, ACL 8B663 and Enginetech BB253J.
